About us

The European Clothing Company GmbH (ECC) was founded in 2004 and has its registered office in Bonn. ECC operates in the private label sector with hosiery exclusively produced for retail. We create seasonal collections, basic NOS items, fashion highlights as well as trend and color themes.

Together with our customers we develop marketing concepts for product presentations at the point of sale (POS). This process is supported by our designers who quickly translate requests and ideas into corresponding drafts.

Our clientele includes large retail chains,
consumer and drugstores, discounters
and chain stores worldwide.

Our strengths lie in intensive trend scouting and the
transformation of new themes into commercial legwear.
We have a global, highly professional procurement
network and see ourselves as a reliable partner in meeting

Services

Design

Our creative designers support purchasing with trend scouting and develop design drafts, color themes and mood boards. Fashion trends from the world’s leading trade shows and metropolises as well as insights from the hosiery trade influence the seasonal collections.

Merchandise Management

ECC’s modern merchandise management system is specially tailored to the needs of collaboration with customers in accordance with internal and external business processes. On request data exchange for order and invoice management can be carried out via interfaces such as EDI.

Logistics

We maintain long-standing and reliable partnerships with internationally active transport companies that deliver our goods to our customers on time. We are constantly working on optimizing logistical components to provide you with the best possible service.

Social Standards
in the Supply Chain

In our processes and products we place a strong focus on our corporate responsibility and sustainability. We consider our commitment to the environment and people along the supply chain to be a fundamental part of our identity.

Our minimum requirements for working conditions are defined in our Code of Conduct and have been integrated as a non-negotiable part of our purchasing conditions.

The basis for respecting human rights is the following internationally recognized standards:

  • Universal Declaration of Human Rights
  • UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
  • Social Standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO)
  • OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises
Social audits such as amfori BSCI or GOTS are used to verify compliance with the minimum social standards of our production partners. Furthermore we regularly conduct internal supplier audits and visits to our direct producers as well as to wet production sites.

Sustainability and environmental focus

Protecting and preserving the environment is a core value for us. We take our environmental responsibility seriously by complying with applicable legal requirements and recognized standards for environmental and climate protection. We strive to continuously improve the impact of our business activities. For our products we aim to minimize resource consumption and ensure environmentally friendly production processes.

To meet the high expectations and demands of our customers we source our yarns from selected spinning mills and dyeing companies. In addition our procurement team constantly scans the global market for innovative materials, novelties and sustainable developments.

Producers with wet processes that collaborate with our procurement team use ZDHC-compliant chemicals.

Our Standards:

We are GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS and RWS certified, Control Union 847595. Only the products which are covered by a valid transaction certificate are GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS, RWS certified.

In addition our company holds the certificate for OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

Quality Standards

Our quality standards go far beyond the legal minimum requirements. We work exclusively with selected and certified production partners worldwide. Long-term and trustworthy business relationships are what set us apart.

To ensure the quality of our products our teams around the world monitor smooth processes in production and maintain direct communication with the local employees. This enables ECC to achieve continuous and reliable production monitoring. Besides that we conduct extensive material and product tests in our in-house laboratory.

Alongside our internal quality assurance mechanisms in production we work with globally recognized testing institutes to carry out quality tests in coordination with our customers. We are happy to meet your individual requirements in a customized manner.

Responsibility in the Supply Chain

ECC is aware of its responsibility towards the environment and society.

In our Policy Statement we commit to responsible action and advocate for the protection of human rights and compliance with environmental standards along the supply chain.

An effective grievance mechanism plays a crucial role in ensuring ethical business practices. It enables whistleblowers to report violations and risks in the supply chain. These can be submitted by employees as well as external parties.
